This report aims to assess the opportunities, readiness, and barriers to work-based learning (WBL) on Hawaiʻi Island. By examining WBL programs across Hawaiʻi Island’s six districts, the report provides insights and recommendations to enhance collaboration among schools, employers, and communities, ensuring that students are better prepared for future careers while addressing local workforce need.
